Clinical depression can be caused by several factors including physiological issues, post trauma, chronic self esteem problems.

Signs of Depression

Depression could have been triggered by a major event or loss. The signs of depression can be subtle, and it is important to be aware of them. It is especially significant to take note if the depression symptoms persist for a long period of time in you or your loved ones’ lives.

Here’s what to look for:

  • Markedly diminished interest or pleasure in activities that were formerly favorites.

  • Fatigue or loss of energy.

  • Insomnia or hypersomnia, either too little or too much sleep.

  • Difficulty waking up or getting out of bed.

  • Feelings of worthlessness or guilt.

  • Decreased concentration or indecisiveness, inability to focus.
